Sport Cat boats are extremely stable, safe and offer excellent performance and economy. They come in 2 sizes: 11’ and 13’ 5”. They share all the great qualities and features of the Advanced Cat boats while offering added performance capabilities. Developed from the high-speed rescue boats first used off the coast of South Africa in the early 1980’s, the Sport Cats have developed into extremely safe and stable, high performance inflatable boats. Their tunnel hull sponsons are formed with enclosed, high pressure foil tubes providing excellent lateral stability, efficient planning characteristics and heavy-duty protection when beached. The tunnel hull creates lift for efficient planning and also provides cushion of air for smoother, high-speed ride. The sponsons are wedge-shaped, providing a good “bite” on the inside of sharp turn while the outside sponson slides over the water, preventing tipping or flipping. As result, the boat can perform extremely tight turns, even at high speeds. Sport Cats with their high efficiency hulls, can be powered by smaller motors resulting in initial cost savings and lower fuel consumption, saving you money with lower fuel costs.
Sport Cats can be used for recreational boating and fishing, as workboats and in select racing organizations such as the A.P.B.A. Ultralight Tunnel Hull Race Circuit. Given their great performance on smaller engines, stability and load capability both in weight and no of people, they are more fun and far more useful than a PWC! |
